NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire-- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today record-breaking numbers of tourists from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. Israel welcomed 78,000 travelers from the United States in July 2022 that's a 4 percent increase from the year before and 71,000 total visitors from the United States in August 2022, a 13% increase from the year before.
Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner of the United States. He said, "It's so exciting to again see an rise in tourism to Israel from America, already exceeding or even surpassing the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019". "The United States is our most important destination for our inbound tourism to Israel. Before the COVID-19 epidemic, we saw record-breaking numbers of Israeli tourists entering Israel each month. We are thrilled to see an improvement in the trend and expect it to continue throughout the months and years to come."
Canada is not far behind the United States of America, is poised to surpass the number of tourists visiting Israel. The country had 7,200 tourists in July 2022 as well as 6,000 tourists in August.
