NEW YORK, Sept. 8th, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 visitors from the United States for July 2022. This is a four percent increase over 2019 and 71,000 tourists from the United States for August 2022. This is an increase of 13% over the year before.

Canada is also on track, as the United States, to surpass the number of tourists who visit Israel. In July 2022, Canada had 7,200 visitors while August was a record 6,000.

Israel welcomed more that 4.6 million international tourists in the year 2019 and this included 969.600 being from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all tourists, no matter if they are vaccination-free. Israel has already hosted more than 600,000.
