The country welcomed 78,000 Americans in July 2022. It was a four percent increase from 2019 seven thousand tourists from America visited Israel in August 2022.
Eyal Carlin was the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. "It is exciting to see a new growth in tourism to Israel from the United States. Already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking number in 2019," he stated. "The United States is the most popular destination for Israel inbound tourism. In fact, before the COVID-19 Pandemic, we were celebrating record-breaking numbers of tourism entry month after month. It's a fantastic positive shift that we are happy to see and we anticipate an upward trajectory for months to be."

Gal Hana, Consul to Canada and Director for Canada at the Israel Ministry of Tourism said that it was exciting to see tourism from Canada to Israel returning. "We are not too far away from our record numbers for 2019 We are hoping that the growth in the number of travelers to Israel will further increase as Canadians remain confident about travelling abroad."
Israel welcomed more tourists from around the world in 2019 than any other country. 969 600 of these were Americans. Israel's official reopening to all travelers was May 2018. The country has received over 600,400 US travelers since then.
